"Trumpeters Dancing in the Snowstorm"
On an incredibly blustery December afternoon, with winds gusting to 40mph, and snow pelting my face at a sideways angle, I headed out to the coast of Lake Erie, beckoned by the eerie calls of Trumpeter Swans rafting in the distance. Barely visible through the intense snow, the images of the swans I captured took on a soft, mystical and ethereal quality that illustrated the grace that these enormous birds display, even in the harshest of conditions. I can still hear the haunting song of these swans, carried to shore by the whistling winds of the snowstorm that day. It was worth every frozen finger that held my camera to capture this moment.
