I captured this mystical image of the full moon during a hazy, cloudy moonrise over the Sonoran Desert recently. There is actually very little altering of this image from it's original view. I used a high magnification lens (500mm + 1.4x teleconverter) to capture it as it rose over Four Peaks mountains. The haze created a dream-like feel and yet the sun setting cast these lovely warm and cool hues of magenta and blue. The white of the moon crawling up into the cloudline added interesting balance and line to the image---and though I don't typically take many abstract-type images, I personally love the dreamy state this image conveys. You can't help but drift off into another peaceful realm when concentrating on the soft color and glow of this image!
