"Walking the Red Carpet" These three geese, two of which appear to be subspecies (Cackling) types of Canada Geese, stroll the "red carpet" along a marshy area of Alaska in August. Already feeling much like autumn in this part of the world, these geese are readying themselves for their long migration south. ©2011 Lisa Langell Photography, LLC. All Rights Reserved.
"Riding the Rails" Through a chance encounter while photographing birds in Alaska, I met a fellow photographer who was"connected" and kind enough to give me access and a 1:1 tour of the rail yards in Anchorage! I had a wonderful time photographing the trains, pieces and parts of locomotives, and exploring an area I've never set foot into in any of my 29 former trips to Alaska! What a wonderful experience and opportunity---one I will not forget! The kindness of strangers is amazing to me.
"Last Stop" This old rail car brought Alaskan tourists back and forth across the state in the 1970s, but today, it sits as a relic of it's lively past in Anchorage, AK. ©2012 Langell Photography, LLC. All Rights Reserved.
