Dalls on a Diagonal" TIny white speckles atop this mountain ridge are actually Dall Sheep trekking up the slope. This image was captured in Denali National Park in late September 2009. I love it for it's textures, diagonal line, velvety russet accents, and that the sheep become mere specks on this grand-scale scene. ©2009 Langell Photography, LLC. All Rights Reserved.
"Journey's End" This Sockeye Salmon has traveled 1000s of miles over the course of its 3-4 year life. It swam from the Pacific, up the Cook Inlet, past Homer, and into a series of lakes and streams until it found Wolverine Creek, a 1/2-mile, rugged upstream journey until it reached Wolverine Lake to spawn. This 3-4 year old Grizzly (Brown) Bear intercepted its long journey just short of the final destination. And so it goes in the wild...nature is a powerful and unforgiving thing. ©2012 Langell Photography, LLC. All Rights Reserved.
