2:00 pmĀ Western Town Portraits

During this session, participants will be divided into three small groups and rotate through three different portrait stations. Each station offers a unique lighting style and creative approach, giving you opportunities to explore a variety of looks and techniques.

Lisa and the staff will provide guidance at each station, and there will be time to shoot, observe, and refine your approach. Rotations will be timed so everyone has equal access and a smooth experience.

Station 1: High Key with Lisa

This high key portrait station will be led by Lisa in the HQ tent. High key lighting uses bright, even illumination to create light, airy images with minimal shadows.

This is a great opportunity to explore a different portrait style and learn how light placement and exposure affect the final look. Lisa will provide guidance and instruction throughout the session.

Station 2: Boardwalk Portraits

This station will take place on the western town boardwalk using a backdrop and flash to create classic western-style portraits. This setup allows for clean, well-lit images with a timeless feel.

Participants can focus on posing, composition, and flash use while creating polished portraits. Staff will be available to help with lighting and camera settings.

Station 3: Low Key Photography

This station focuses on low key portrait photography inside the Sheriff’s Office. Low key lighting emphasizes shadow, contrast, and mood to create dramatic western portraits.

Participants will work with controlled lighting and darker backgrounds to highlight character, expression, and detail. Staff will assist with settings and positioning to help you achieve strong results.
